The film was hit on the box office and was the second-highest-grossing movie of 2008. Anushka Sharma starred in the movie 'Badmash Company that came out in the year 2010. It was also a star-studded film with Shahid Kapoor and Vir Das. The movie received mixed critiques. That same year Anushka Sharma appeared in the film 'Band Baaja Baaraat' along with Ranveer Singh where she played an upper-middle class Punjabi girl who starts her own wedding planning business. It was a surprise hit and received good reviews. In Band Baaja Baaraat, Anushka's three-film deal under the Yash Raj Films banner was completed.
